🕉️ Daily Puja Vidhi – Step-by-Step Guide

1. Preparation (Shuddhi)

  • Take a bath and wear clean clothes (preferably cotton or traditional attire).
  • Clean the puja space and altar (mandir) using water or a damp cloth.
  • Light a diya (lamp) with ghee or sesame oil.
  • Light incense (agarbatti) or dhoop to purify the surroundings.

2. Sankalp (Resolve)

  • Sit facing East or North.
  • Place a few drops of water on your palm and take a sankalp (resolve), mentally stating your name, day, and purpose of worship (like peace, prosperity, devotion).
  • You may say:
    “Mama samasta duritakshaya-dvāra Shri Parameshwar preetyartham aham pujanam karishye.”
    (For the removal of all my obstacles and for the pleasure of the Supreme Lord, I begin this worship.)

3. Invocation (Avahanam)

  • Chant:
    “Om Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu Gurur Devo Maheshwarah…” (Guru Stotram)
    “Om Gan Ganapataye Namah” (To invoke Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles)
